* THE SITE: On April 18, adventure-loving chicks hit Nikki Beach resort on Miami's South Beach for our big bikini bash and photo shoot.

* THE PHOTOGRAPHER: Pulitzer Prize--winner Vincent Laforet hung out of a helicopter more than 750 feet above the shore of the Atlantic as he snapped hundreds of gorgeous girls spelling out the name of their fave mag, Cosmo, with their bods.

* THE GIRLS: Readers came from all across the nation, and we even had natives of Poland, Romania, Cuba, Mexico, Germany, and Kazakhstan, just to name a few.

* THE SCENE: Cosmo girls lounged under palm trees and got free bikinis from Old Navy (one of the sponsors of the event), massages, beauty products from Nivea (another event sponsor), and horoscope readings--all while a hot deejay spun tunes.
