* Peeking through a guy's belongings isn't the prettiest behavior, but the truth is, it's a useful tool ill relationships. First off, a little strategic eyeballing can give you valuable insights into a new guy and help you decide if he's for you. Then there's a higher level, where sort-of-surreptitiously clarify a few still-mysterious details about a dude you've been seeing. At the extreme end, when you have real reason to think your guy is lying to you, so, no serious detective work clue you in to whether you're being duped.

For each of those three snooping levels, we got PIs and environmental psychologists (they study what your stuff says about you) to ID key spots worth probing. Read on.
