Seventeen MPs have now signed a Commons motion tabled by the Labour MP Diane Abbott urging Heinz to reinstate its 'gay kiss' ad, created by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO.
Eight MPs have backed another motion by Lynne Featherstone, the Liberal Democrats' spokeswoman on equality, calling for the ad to be restored because the scenes were 'in no way offensive or indecent'.
