Bill Ogle knows a few things about power.

Ogle is president and chairman of STB Systems Inc. in Richardson. In his spare time he collects and rebuilds Chevrolet Camaros. But they are no match for the power his company's products stir inside personal computers.

STB Systems is one of the top three sellers of computer components that greatly boost the quality of images displayed on PCs.

The components, called graphics cards, are sold primarily to computer makers who install them before the machines ship. The cards do the myriad calculations that enable PCs to show full-motion video and near-photo-quality images.

These capabilities increasingly are in demand as computer users make their way onto the Internet where they can view videos and images.
