Country music magazine, Twang, plans April start. (Harvest Media Inc.; 1996)

A new national monthly magazine to be launched from Dallas-Fort Worth in April will try to pluck the interest of country music lovers.

Called Twang, the magazine has been described by a source close to the deal as the "Rolling Stone magazine" of country music.

Twang is being published by Fort Worth-based Harvest Media Inc., which recently assumed operations of the monthly magazine Texas Business.

Publisher Daniel Collins would not comment about Twang until a prototype is finalized. He did say the magazine has "a lot of people involved in it," including contacts in Nashville.
