Six years ago, two Englishmen started a business in Manhattan linking auction houses and art buyers around the world via the Internet. The company, LiveAuctioneers, has since attracted 700 auction houses and handled millions of dollars in sales of art, antiques and collectibles. The company posted 2007 revenues of just over $4 million.
