DEAR MICHELLE:
I'm planning a small wedding for my daughter, and I'm wondering, what's a low-cost appetizer to serve at the reception?--MOTHER OF THE BRIDE IN MONROEVILLE
DEAR MOTHER:
Firstly, let me tell you that both Barack and I understand your bitterness. It's clear from your letter that you're the sort of person who has been left out, ignored, and disempowered by the past eight years, and by the changing global economy we all face. Have you thought about having your caterer do some little grilled scallops on rosemary skewers? We like them with a dry German Riesling-or really any dry white wine. Barack and I tend to prefer dry to very dry white wines, although we understand why people who feel angry and left out like their White Zinfandel.
DEAR MICHELLE:
While my husband was on a recent hunting trip, a work friend of his came over to the house to help me get the garage door back on its track, and, well, one thing led to another and I strayed from my wedding vows. I don't want to leave my husband and I don't want to hurt him--it was a one-time thing and it will never happen again. I've prayed a lot over this. My question is, should I tell him or just let it be?--CONFUSED IN CARNEGIE
DEAR CONFUSED:
