He won his first medal, a Silver Star, in May, for running through enemy fire in Ramadi to pull a wounded SEAL to safety. "We knew if anything were to happen," his sister said, "Mike would be the first to jump in and try to fix it or solve it." Four months later, a guerrilla threw a grenade onto a Ramadi rooftop where Monsoor and three other SEALs were positioned.
