The Department of Homeland Security has announced port security grant awards totaling $388.6 million for the 2008 fiscal year.

Seven U.S. port areas that DHS considers most at risk for a terrorist attack will receive a total of $220.9 million. The balance of the money is divided among two groups of ports that are smaller or lower-risk.
