Models MAX16815/MAX16828/MAX16835/MAX16836 high-voltage, linear LED drivers with adjustable drive current are capable of driving long string of HB LEDs from 6.5-40 V input supply. Specified over -40 to 125[degrees]C automotive temperature range, they incorporate pass element with 0.4 V (typ) dropout voltage, eliminating need for external power transistor. They feature short-circuit and thermal protection, and 5 V regulated output that provides up to 4 mA load current.
