Purup has launched a new imagesetter, the Maverick. Like its Maestro (introduced last year), it is a four-up filmsetter. The Maverick, however, is not a Maestro replacement; it is intended to be a lower-cost option for users that do not need all the Maestro features and are able to live with somewhat reduced imaging speeds.
Maverick vs. Maestro. The Maverick shares many of the Maestro's features, including the "VarioSpot" capability, which adjusts the spot size of the laser according to the imaging resolution. The following are the major differences:
