Honda is moving ahead with plans for its own Scion-like brand, using the Chinese market as a launching pad for the new line of cars.

The Japanese company, in cooperation with its Chinese partner, Guangzhou Automobile Group, revealed an unnamed concept at the Beijing motor show that company officials say will be the first production model from the new Honda division.

So far, the division goes by a name that roughly translates as Li Nian, or "subject,'' in Chinese. The brand is characterized as a separate division of Honda, similar to Acura ...
