McLaren plans to rebuild brand and explore new markets

David Salmon, the new owner of Arthur Brett & Sons, has said the company will explore emerging markets.

Weeks after buying Arthur Brett out of administration Salmon, McLaren Interiors md, explained his reasons for investing in the Norwich company at the end of March, and why he could not allow it to disappear.

Salmon had previously been a shareholder in Arthur Brett, and has made a commitment to honour its customers.

He said: `To my way of thinking to let the name and the reputation just disappear into the archives of history was something I simply couldn't let happen.'

Salmon added that the deal `was a major investment' and that he would help rebuild both the brand and reputation.
