DF Furniture Ltd has issued an apology to bespoke kitchen company Chiselwood Ltd, settling an alleged intellectual property dispute.

Dean Fairhurst of DF Furniture Ltd, in Newark, settled the alleged dispute before court action, paying substantial legal costs to Chiselwood Ltd, in Lincoln.

DF Furniture Ltd denies that Chiselwood Ltd had any legal redress against it but has issued an apology.

Fairhurst admitted using the drawings created by Chiselwood Ltd without permission to build a kitchen to a specification set out in the drawings. DF Furniture Ltd also admitted it used photographs of this kitchen in promotional material in its brochures and on its website.

The apology added: `DF Furniture Ltd apologises to Chiselwood Ltd for the use of its drawings and undertakes not to use the photographs, or the drawings, in any capacity whatsoever at any time in the future.'
