Eviction Sequence

1 No Dogs Allowed

I say to myself more than some can bear then
disconnected the water flunk off-key buzz saws better than other saws.
  going around so
that I cannot. yet. still. hell. disconnect the faucet, the pipeline,
  the gas line. every line.
write before eviction. again.

do not write between the lines. or draw outside them. Flunk
art. Art teacher said: why did you not line these up? line-up:
my family. multiple family shootings. usually each other
in-laws or husbands or wives or into the air. bars on windows. a bar
next to a donut shop with blinking lights. I cuddled the new puppy.
ferreted it in through the windows
because no dogs allowed.

2 Piano Dreams

Dreams of renting a piano
Crowding it into this five by eight

Proof
I have something going
I am ready to rise
  above all this.

The door padlocked!
Why the surprise?
Naive to think that I could win
an argument over the price of rent.

Shivering on the back seat
of my green impala
Climbing in front
My head butts against the steering wheel
Turned around my feet tangle in it.
Now where am I going
  to put my piano?
