* New survey data suggest that, while the majority of primary care pediatricians and child and adolescent psychiatrists agree regarding SSRI safety and effectiveness, some differences are present; child psychiatrists were significantly more likely than pediatricians to agree that SSRIs are safe and effective in pediatric patients, while pediatricians were significantly more likely than child psychiatrists to agree that SSRI black box warnings had led them to change their prescribing practices.
