DSM sells special products unit to Arsenal Capital Partners.(UNITED STATES/AMERICAS)

DSM says it has reached an agreement to divest its special products unit to private equity firm Arsenal Capital Partners (New York). Terms were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close early in the second quarter, pending regulatory approvals.

Arsenal Capital says it will rename the special products unit Genovique Specialties (Sittard, Holland). The unit generated 2007 sales of 101 million [euro] and achieved a "slight" operating profit, the company says.
