Lotus will bring its new mid-engined 2+2, codenamed the Eagle, to the United States in late in 2009, but for now, testing continues on the frozen lakes of northern Scandinavia.
Rumors suggest that the new Lotus will be powered by the same engine that BMW plans to use in its 2008 X6, a twin-turbo-charged, 400-hp, 450-lb-ft V8. The car is said to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds and to top out at more than 175 mph.
Although the Eagle won't make its world debut until the British motor show in London in July, Lotus revealed the front suspension module as a teaser at Geneva.
