The Associated Press reports that a vanity license plate with nothing other than the number 1 on it sold for $14 million at an Abu Dhabi charity auction. Saeed Khouri, who won the plate, said, "I bought it because it's the best number. I bought it because I want to be the best in the world.'' Proceeds from the auction go to a rehabilitation center for victims of traffic accidents.
