Scary rig
That front end on the International LoneStar rig is just frightful (This Week, Feb. 18). International could do better aesthetically by checking its own design archives from 40, 50, even 60 years ago.

Off-track
The new Dodge Challenger ("Muscle Machine,'' Feb. 11) weighs a whopping 4140 pounds and is only available with a five-speed automatic transmission, yet Mac Morrison says it is "competent for track running.'' Does he refer to parade laps at the manufacturer's event or a real track outing? I like its looks, but the weight is embarrassing. Any tracking would require a healthy budget for both brakes and tires-and don't get me started on the tranny. I don't expect to see many driven aggressively at track events I attend.
