'Papa Murphy's' to expand, move offices to Vancouver

The Papa Aldo's restaurant chain is counting on the luck of the Irish to sell its take-and-bake pizza pies.

Locally owned Papa Aldo's will soon change its franchise name to Papa Murphy's. In September, Papa Murphy's also plans to move its offices and its 15 administrative employees from Portland to 6,800 square feet of leased space at 8000 N.E. Parkway Drive in Vancouver. It will eventually become a Washington corporation.

The name change is part of its strategy to merge its Papa Aldo's stores and its California-based Murphy's Pizza shops into a single operation. After going through some difficult years in the late 1980s, the pizza company says it's …
