Pininfarina's Swiss Sketch

At the Geneva motor show in March, Pininfarina will unveil the Sintesi, a concept that draws on the Italian design house's previous two concepts, the Birdcage 75th sports car shown at Geneva in 2005 and the pedestrian-friendly Nido small car shown at Paris in 2004. Pininfarina says the Sintesi concept-sintesi is Italian for "summary''- combines sportiness and functionality.

Shelby Sues Fan Club

Carroll Shelby is suing the Shelby American Automobile Club to prevent it from using his name and related images.

The lawsuit, filed Jan. 29, is the latest in a battle between Shelby and the 5000-member for-profit fan club. Shelby claims the club violated its licensing agreements by not involving him in marketing efforts and not providing him with financial statements.

Club owners Ken Eber and Rick Kopec reject Shelby's claims and have refused to turn over club records on Shelby cars.
