J. Lee Wiederholt died unexpectedly on August 19. Lee was senior vice president of PRO-ED, Inc., trustee and president of the Donald D. Hammill Foundation, and trustee of the Hammill Institute on Disabilities. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Rockhurst College (1965) and a Master of Arts degree (1969) and a Doctorate of Education degree (1971) from Temple University. During his career, Lee was the chair of the Department of Special Education at The University of Texas at Austin; an associate professor at the University of Arizona, where he directed the Leadership Training Institute in Learning Disabilities; and a special education teacher in the Philadelphia Public Schools. While at The University of Texas at Austin, Lee was awarded the Audrey Rogers Myers Centennial Professor in Education. For 10 years, he was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Learning Disabilities.
