Students will perform Chinese music in concert
The American Children's Music Institute will sponsor a concert of Chinese music performed by Chinese high school students at 7:30 p.m. today in Room 250 of the Clinical Service Building on the University of Oregon campus. Art contest offers $10,000 grand prize scholarship
The Young American Creative Patriotic Art contest, sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, is a competition for high school freshmen and sophomores, including home-school students.
The deadline for submission to the local VFW Ladies Auxiliary is March 31. The first-place national winner will receive a $10,000 scholarship and a two-night all-expenses-paid trip to attend the 2008 VFW Ladies Auxiliary national convention in Orlando, Fla., in August.
