Omni Services woos Todd Uniform; Aramark ties knot with Smith Overall. (Smith Overall Cleaning Co.)

Omni Services Inc. of Culpepper, Va., is nearing a deal to buy the rental division of locally based Todd Uniform Inc.

Omni is a private holding company that specializes in rental uniform services. Omni spokesman Bill van Swearingen said negotiations are ongoing but the deal has not been completed.

Todd Uniform operates a uniform/industrial laundry service nationwide, including uniform manufacturing, sales and a rental division. Founded in 1882, Todd had estimated sales of $95 million last year and has 2,000 employees, according to the Sorkins' Directory of Business & Government.
