Your endorsement of Governor Romney ("Romney for President," December 31) has left me a little cold. You disqualify Mayor Giuliani for alienating social conservatives, but Romney is sure to suffer a similar deficit in their ranks. Giuliani, at least, has had the courage to acknowledge this disagreement and has offered to appoint conservative judges. You say Governor Huckabee suffers from a lack of credentials on economic policy and foreign policy, but Romney has no real foreign-policy credentials ...
