Mercedes doppelganger
Aw, c'mon, guys! The new Mercedes-Benz GLK "doesn't look like any other compact ute on the market''? I suspect its identical twin, the Subaru Forester, will be deeply saddened by this news. Perhaps a BWTM Body Double comparison would help dispel any lingering doubt.

BMW X6 look-alikes
The BMW X6 ("You Can Have It All,'' Jan. 7) is certainly the answer to a question few asked. Does anyone need a $70,000, 4600-pound "car'' that has 400 hp and steers itself? I dare you guys to put a picture of it next to an AMC Marlin in BWTM.

The new BMW X6 appears to be the same approach as the Subaru Outback SUS that was discontinued for the 2008 model year. You may be able to "have it all'' in the X6, but it is hardly a new approach.
