Another management change at Panalpina suggests the Swiss forwarder, which is the target of inquiries into its business practices, is undergoing something of a restructuring in its leadership.
Panalpina said this month its chief marketing and sales officer John Klompers resigned after 13 years with the company and suggested his position might not be filled.
The company said Klompers was leaving "by mutual agreement" and gave no indication his departure was related to ongoing internal and U.S. Justice Department investigations of Panalpina''s business practices in Nigeria.
