A BAR OWNER AND PROPERTY developer is fighting Hammerson's proposed Bishops Quarter scheme to the north of London's Liverpool Street station.
James Goff, director of the Light Bar on Shoreditch High Street, has launched a 'Save the Light' campaign and commissioned architect Willingale Associates to draw up alternative proposals for the entire 10 acre site.
Goff--who previously worked for Stirling Ackroyd and now runs residential development company Urban Edge Group--and a consortium of local residents object to Hammerson's plans, which include a 50-storey tower, and any proposed demolition of the Light Bar.
