A series of local activities celebrating the life and teachings of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. will span seven days, beginning Saturday.
The events include an annual march; a keynote speech in Eugene featuring author and motivational speaker Patrice Gaines; a display of students' works in Springfield; and several activities at the University of Oregon.
