An untapped market and a program of fast growth proved to be the formula for success at Midak University, a local software trainer for products sold by five national software giants.

When president and CEO Arnie Kuenn and six of his colleagues formed the company two years ago, they knew there was no one else offering the kind of training they wanted to provide. But they also realized that if they didn't jump on the opportunity and push for growth, someone else would.

"We sensed this was the right time in the market for this business and we knew if we didn't work hard to get it launched and get as big and established as fast as we could, somebody else would do it instead of us," said Kuenn.

In the past two years, the company has done exactly what it set out to do, growing from eight employees, one classroom, one instructor, one vendor certification and $1.2 million in annual sales to 30 employees, six classrooms, eight instructors, five vendor certifications and $3.5 million in …
