Cast your minds back to last summer. It rained incessantly Jonathan Durden bumbled about in Big Brother.

Political parties armed themselves for an election that never happened. And just when you thought things couldn't get any worse, The Ivy, adland's culinary cottage in Covent Garden, struck Bang Bang Chicken off the menu.

The news sent shockwaves through the advertising industry. Adland was already grappling with clampdowns on junk food, alcohol, cigarettes, and even car advertising. But to be prevented from enjoying chunky chicken fried in a peanut butter sauce was one ban (and culinary cock-up) too many.
