Could the mighty Sunshine Network be running out of steam?

Rich Bradley, the company's former assistant director, thinks so.

Bradley left the company earlier this year to head Boca Raton-based SportsChannel - Sunshine's main competition in Florida sports television.

Now he plans to snap up some of the business that Orlando's Sunshine Network has dominated for the past seven years.

He may have already started.

Reports out of Miami say SportsChannel has lured the University of Miami's television rights away from Sunshine Network, even though a year is left on Sunshine's contract.

"We have a contract with the University of Miami for another year," says Sunshine Network Executive Director Dave Almstead. "None of the rights have been given to SportsChannel."
