Holiday cheers B'way biz.(BROADWAY GROSSES)

NEW YORK The tourist-fueled holiday frame lavished its usual gifts or Broadway's box office in Week 31 (Dec 24-30), with total grosses rocketing to $30 million.

The 24 musicals grossed $24,177,335 ($26,037,335 estimated) for 85.4% of the Broadway total, with attendance of 266,999 at 89.5% capacity and an average paid admission of $101.14.

The 10 plays grossed $4,143,428 for 14.6% of the Broadway total, with attendance of 55,666 at 66.1% capacity and an average paid admission of $74.16.

Average paid admission was $96.03 for all shows.
