EX35 whatever
Someone has to tell Infiniti the EX35 isn't a luxury crossover or a luxury ute ("More Room to Cross Over,'' Dec. 17, 2007). We old car guys call it a station wagon.

Words to BMW . . .
Though I could afford a more expensive car, I was looking forward to the BMW 1 Series. Unfortunately, the article ("Sweet One,'' Dec. 17, 2007) has me looking elsewhere. The world does not need another 300-hp, $35,000 vehicle that gets a lousy 25 mpg. BMW already has the 3 Series, which meets these specs. Shouldn't the 1 Series cost $25,000, have 230 hp and get 35 mpg? It could still be sporty to drive. BMW knows how to build great cars, but it seems to have forgotten the markets and environments in which it sells them.
