Company wraps up advertising on buses. (Transportation Displays Inc.)

Think of pasting up wallpaper inside a house or piecing together a puzzle.

Only it is a Greyhound-sized bus. And it has to be covered perfectly to appear as if it was painted.

On this particular day, Transportation Displays Inc. is concealing a white Fort Worth transit bus with faces of KTVT-TV Channel 11 anchors and popular CBS show stars. David Letterman's big gap-toothed grin on the back of the bus soon will greet motorists.

The "wrapped" buses sure get noticed, and more and more companies are seeing them as a viable way to advertise. But some industry experts caution the buses could be come a fast-fading fad. Either way, TDI and the transit authorities of Dallas and Fort Worth are seeing increased profits from the advertising medium. …
