Cambridge Major Laboratories (Germantown, WI), a fine chemicals contract manufacturer, says it has acquired active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) development services company ChemShop (Weert, the Netherlands). Financial details were not disclosed. ChemShop will be renamed Cambridge Major Laboratories Europe.

Cambridge Major started operating in 2007 with about 75 staff. Acquiring ChemShop almost doubles Cambridge Major's workforce to more than 140 and increases its number of manufacturing sites from two, to three.
