Multiprocessor suits demanding DSP applications.(GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms Announces 'Highest Performance' VXS Multiprocessor)
Available in 6 ruggedization levels, Model DSP220 features 4 single- or dual-core Freescale(TM) PowerPC[R] 8641 system-on-chip nodes and VITA 42.2-compliant XMC slot. Each PowerPC e600 core is clocked at 1 GHz, and each 8641 node supports 2 banks of DDR2 SDRAM with 256 MB per bank, 2 GB total per card. Up to 8 GB SDRAM per board is optionally available. PowerPC AltiVec(TM) support for advanced vector and floating point operations is provided by each processor core.
