Just a little fix
I really enjoyed Kevin Wilson's column in the Nov. 19 issue regarding some of his early rides. My first was a hand-me-down from my grandmother, a '64 Chevy II with a 194 and Powerglide. Additionally, it was a beige four-door, not exactly a chick magnet! However, the price was right, and it served me well for years.
I've been an AutoWeek subscriber for 20-plus years, and I've never sent a note to anyone. But something stood out regarding Kevin's '67 Impala. Didn't the 307 come out in '68? Just curious.
All of the 50-year anniversary issues are terrific.

Editor's note: Thanks for the comment on the 50th-anniversary pieces. Yes, the Impala was a 327-Wilson says he crossed it up in memory (hey, it was 35 years ago!) with a '72 Camaro 307 he owned briefly.
Come on, Ford
