BAD HAIR DAY IN ALASKA
The Associated Press reports that Della Miller, 73, was driving to a hair appointment in Soldotna, Alaska, when she lost control and crashed through the front of the salon. The impact knocked one customer six feet across the room, shattered two large plate-glass windows and damaged walls. Miller was not injured, she was not cited for the crash, and she proceeded to get her hair done.
Stick with wrenches, Darwin
According to multiple reports, a 66-year-old Seattle-area man injured himself when he opted to use his shotgun in an attempt to remove a seized lug nut from his Lincoln Continental. He fired from close range and-surprise!-suffered buckshot wounds when the shot ricocheted back. Police said the man was clean and sober at the time, and his injuries weren't life-threatening.
