AUTHOR AND FORMER Dutton editor Helen Eisenbach has been named editor-in-chief and associate publisher of Alyson Publications.

Eisenbach takes over Alyson, one of the first publishers of books aimed at gay and lesbian readers, after it was acquired in May by Liberation Publications, also the publisher of the gay/lesbian magazine the Advocate. Eisenbach told PW that the house is working out of the Advocate's offices in New York and Los Angeles. Alyson will eventually be based in Los Angeles, and Eisenbach …
