Although Christmas is less than a month away, last week's new release slate was comparatively slim, with only two of the 10 new arrivals in the Top 75 selling enough to make the Top 10.

Welsh classical crossover star Katherine Jenkins leads the debutants, arriving at number three with Rejoice, her highest charting album to date. One place and a couple of thousand sales behind her, Girls Aloud's Tangled Up improves substantially on the number 11 debut/peak of their last studio set, Chemistry (2005) but can't match the number one debut of last year's singles collection The Sound Of Girls Aloud. Every other album in the Top 10 actually saw its sales ...
