Trustees of the University of Connecticut in Hartford approved September 25 some $19 million to repair the structurally unsound facade of the Law School Library, a sum that is $5 million less than the $24 million it cost to build the 11-year-old facility in the first place. The five-story, 125,000-square-foot library has been plagued with leaks from multiple sources since it opened, and the state attorney general is "aggressively trying to recoup the money from the primary construction company and architects," Manager of Media Communications Karen Grava told American Libraries.
