Dodge Concept 'Cuda
The Lamborghini pearl orange coat is the first thing that sucks you into this 'Cuda's atmosphere; then the carbon-fiber shaker hood is another jewel that makes you shake your head. There is a sense of deja vu for those of us old enough to remember the muscle-car glory days, and we can't wait to drive it. This one boasts a 6.1-liter Hemi. Its front has been lowered 1.5 inches, its rear a stout 2.0 inches. It sits on 22-inch Zenetti five-spoke wheels and has enough rubber to smoke the length of Woodward or Melrose.
Pontiac Solstice SD-290 Race Concept
The stock Solstice is one of the best new designs on the road, so you knew the aftermarket potential was huge. So did GM, which added a passenger cockpit tonneau cover, a driver windscreen, new front fascia and fenders, side gills and hood vents. The project team ditched the factory windshield, windows and top. More than a styling exercise, the SD-290 boasts GM's Club Sport Z0K suspension, a cat-back exhaust, 13-inch brakes, removable steering wheel, driver's roll bar and more. 2007 Volkswagen GTI Four-Door
This GTI uses the brakes from the high-performance R32, VW lowering springs and a custom Vibrant Performance center-exit exhaust. The exterior receives a Thunder Bunny front bumper, flared side skirts, an R32 rear valance and 18-inch Karthoum wheels. Inside is a new Rockford Fosgate sound system and a plug-and-play iPod adapter that allows users to control iPod functions through the factory radio that displays artist, song and playlist information.
