Light rail, interstates emerge priorities
Denver's movers and shakers view improving the city's clogged arteries as the top priority, according to a recent sampling of 105 business leaders.
Transportation dominated the leaders' capital-improvements wish list, with 68 percent wanting an extended light rail, 59 percent touting widened interstate 25 and 70 in the metro area and 19 percent stumping for a widened Interstate 70 on the Western Slope. Thirty-one percent want increased prison space in the state.
