RAYNAL: Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! This car is one big hoot, and it's instructive to get into a rear-drive, V8-powered bad-ass every once in a while. It's a good reminder of how fun driving can be.
I loved this car, and it was equipped almost perfectly for my tastes, meaning I appreciated the lack of tacky body add-ons or goofy stripes or any other junk hanging off the body. This was a nice, clean shape. Not even a spoiler on the back. Perfect.
A V8's rumble at idle and its howl in the upper revs are sounds I have loved since I was a little kid and will love forever. This one is no exception. There's also good power here. More would be better, of course, but 300 hp is a nice round number, especially for this price. Jump on the gas, and this pony takes off like a rocket.
Yes, the steering is too light, the live rear axle can make the car hop around a bit, and it's overall kind of a crude package. I couldn't care less. For a $27,765 base price, it's nearly impossible to have more fun on pavement. That the car looks great, too, is a bonus.
