The firm will grow to 130 by year's end

TAMPA

Computerpeople/DCI is more than doubling the number of employees who work at its Tampa office, thanks to $6 million in new contracts with GTE Corp. subsidiaries in Tampa and Dallas.

The St. Petersburg-based company, which merged with Detroit-based Decision Consultants Inc. in mid-February, has already hired 15 new employees since early April.

By year's end, 70 new people will have been added to its 60-employee local operation. The new employees will be systems analysts earning between $40,000 and $60,000 in Computerpeople's Hidden River Corporate Park office.
