The developers of a $30-million entertainment complex proposed for Tampa's waterfront are preparing to ask the Tampa Port Authority to issue bonds to finance the stalled project.

The plan was disclosed by Grant Weyman of Pyramid Entertainment Venues, a partner in the deal, who indicated that the request will be forwarded to the port in a letter within the next several weeks.

The proposed complex would include a 5,000-seat music amphitheater and possibly a museum. Weyman indicated that construction on the project would not begin until at least the end of this year. Pyramid recently completed construction on a 900-square foot food and beverage kiosk next …
