Nov. 1--SARATOGA SPRINGS -- The newest star in trainer Nick Zito's barn is a little feisty. He showed Zito that Wednesday morning at the Oklahoma Training Track.
War Pass, the winner of Saturday's Breeders' Cup Juvenile at Monmouth Park, poked his long, dark brown head out of his stall, peered at Zito and lunged at him.
"Guess he knows he won," Zito said after dodging War Pass' pass.
War Pass is the horse people will talk about all winter. Right now, he's the favorite to win the 134th running of the Kentucky Derby on May 3.
