College dedicates Lipsey Building: UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN.

Oct. 31--The Stanford Lipsey Publications Building was dedicated Sunday at the University of Michigan.

The building is named for The Buffalo News publisher and Michigan alumnus, who gave $3 million in 2005 to renovate and restore the 1931 building, which boasts multicolored stained-glass windows and an arched ceiling.

Lipsey worked as a photographer in the 1940s on the student newspaper, the Michigan Daily, and the yearbook, the Michiganensian, before graduating in 1948 with a bachelor's degree in economics.
